The Dhaka Forum is a non-profit, non-partisan and non- political platform consisting of a cross section of concerned and like-minded citizens amongst scholars and practitioners in the fields of administration, social, economic and sustainable development.
Bangladesh is now at a cross road. Despite natural and manmade disasters, failure of governance, lack of proper political leadership, the country has shown remarkable resilience in socioeconomic fields. The potential of the people has not been fully realized. It is time to face the challenges upfront, invigorate serious and positive discussion among concerned and likeminded citizens for bringing positive changes in the country.
The Forum will endeavor to realize the vision through assessment of current status of various issues of national development, discussion and formulation of policy options to take the country forward. The areas of focus will be on national issues in politics, governance and culture; sustainable and equitable people centered development; external political and economic relations; transparency and accountability of public and private enterprises.
