Prof. Dr Muzaherul Huq is a retired International Civil Servant and served as WHO staff in different countries as health human resource advisor before retiring as regional advisor, WHO for South East Asia.
Before joining WHO (World Health Organization) he served in Bangladesh civil service as Professor in different Medical Colleges and also as Director of Centre for medical education (CME) and Institute of Public Health (IPH).
He is a medical graduate from Dhaka University & has pursued further post graduate studies in BCPS Dhaka, and has continued overseas in London Hospital Medical College & Dundee University, UK.
Prof Huq worked as senior Adviser, World Federation for Medical Education (WFME) overseeing the accreditation standard of Medical Education in different countries of the World. He was HR adviser to New South Wales University HR Hub Australia.
He was Master Trainer of UNESCO, on Ethics in different Universities in overseas Countries & also a freelance consultant to WHO, FAO, UNESCO & other UN organizations. Currently he is engaged in SGT University, Haryana India and in Judicial administrative Training Institute (JATI) Dhaka.
He is the founding chairman of Public Health Foundation of Bangladesh (PHFBD), Association of Medical Education (AME), Bangladesh & one of the founders of Indo Pacific Association of Law Medicine and Science (INPALMS).
